Dove Medical Press (NZ) Ltd is proud to be the first certified publisher of medical and scientific research.
乐动体育西班牙人Toitū carbonzero certification signals that we are taking a leadership role in medical and scientific publishing by reducing our impact on the global climate and offering a sustainable alternative for our authors.
Our emissions were verified at 48.13 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalents (tCO2乐动体育西班牙人e) for the period 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2018.
Why Toitū carbonzero certification?
乐动体育西班牙人1. Because it’s the first greenhouse gas certification program in the world to achieve international accreditation. This means our certification is recognised in over 50 countries.
2. Because it was developed from solid science at Landcare Research, a New Zealand Government owned Crown Research Institute.
3. So our authors can be sure we have been assessed comprehensively to the most rigorous international standards available for measuring and managing a carbon footprint.
The certification process:
乐动体育西班牙人1. We MEASURE the greenhouse gas emissions associated with publishing papers in our journals.
2. We commit to MANAGING and REDUCING these emissions by setting targets and reporting on emissions reduction performance.
乐动体育西班牙人3. Toitū carbonzero AUDIT our emissions on an annual basis.
乐动体育西班牙人4. We MITIGATE the emissions we can’t reduce by purchasing verified carbon credits from the New Zealand Emissions Unit Register.
Dove Medical Press (NZ) Ltd meets the requirements of Toitū carbonzero certification having measured its greenhouse gas emissions in compliance with the requirements of ISO 14064-1:2006, committed to managing and reducing its emissions and neutralised its remaining unavoidable emissions through the cancellation of an appropriate number of verified carbon credits in respect of the operational activities of its New Zealand journal publishing operations only.
